ArtsJunktion gathers reusable materials that would otherwise be considered waste, sorts them, and makes them available to the public. Take-what-you-need, pay-what-you-can.

Canadian Goodwill provides vocational services, rehabilitation services, and employment for persons with disabilities. By collecting, refurbishing and selling used articles, Canadian Goodwill helps provide support to these Manitobans.

Centre Flavie-Laurent gives free furniture, appliances, household goods and clothing to those in need. They sort, store and distribute goods and clothes received from donors to help those living in poverty. (Between 60-100 families are served daily.)

Repair Cafés are free meeting places focused on repairing things with others. You’ll find tools and materials to help you make repairs on clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, and more. Visitors bring their broken items from home. Together with volunteer repair experts they start making their repairs.

Green Action Centre promotes greener and better living by sharing practical solutions and advocating for change. Green Action Centre’s primary areas of work are green commuting, composting and waste reduction, sustainable living and resource conservation.

LFHW Canada is modelled on the LFHW campaign in the UK that cut avoidable food waste by 21 percent, saving UK consumers £13 billion. LFHW Canada works with businesses, governments and community groups, empowering people to make their food go further and waste less.

Saving Audio Recycling is a Winnipeg-based volunteer organization that provides an alternative for people who want to see their electronic waste put to re-use. Saving Audio Recycling preserves still useable audio electronics. This work is done by life-long stereo electronics enthusiasts and technicians.

ShareWaste is a free initiative and web app that aims to connect people and support urban composting. If you have green scraps and would like to compost them, find a neighbour with a composting bin or worm farm willing to accept your waste.
