Federal Elections
Under the Canada Elections Act a general election is to be held on a fixed date: the third Monday of October in the fourth calendar year following the previous general election.
The next fixed election date is October 16, 2023.

Similar to federal elections most provincial/territorial elections are held on a fixed date with the exception of Nova Scotia, .
In Manitoba, elections are normally held on the first Tuesday in October every four years.
