Under the Canada Elections Act  a general election is to be held on a fixed date: the third Monday of October in the fourth calendar year following the previous general election.

The next fixed election date is October 16, 2023. 


Provincial Elections (Manitoba)

to federal elections most provincial/territorial elections are held on a fixed date with the exception of Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and the Yukon

In Manitoba, elections are normally held on the first Tuesday in October every four years.


Municipal Elections (Winnipeg)

Municipal elections within Manitoba are held every four years on the fourth Wednesday in October with a few exceptions.

The next general Civic Election to select a mayor and members of City Council will  be held on October 28, 2026.
