Seed Libraries

Seed Libraries encourage gardening and local food production. Saving seeds preserves heirloom varieties and protects biodiversity in food crops. Growing your own food is also a step towards self-reliance and resilience in difficult times. Winnipeg Public Library's Seed Libraries are free and open to anyone; limits apply.

Seed donations are welcome year-round. Seed pick-up is available based on stock and is not guaranteed due to fluctuating donations throughout the year.

Seeds are publicly donated. They are not guaranteed to germinate.

Call or visit the branch for details.
