DIY zines (homemade magazines essentially), comics and pamphlets have always been really important for the LGBTTQ+ community as a way to share stories, art, information and support. There are also many graphic novels and manga with LGBTTQ+ characters and themes by LGBTTQ+ authors. Check out these resources for more information.
Rainbow Round Table is a section of the American Library Association providing a large amount of book reviews for all ages on the newest LGBTQ2S+ books. Check out the Rainbow Book List for Children and teens and the Over the Rainbow Book list for adult readers.
This list serves three purposes: for parents who would like to find books for their children about the experience of being a child in a gay family, or having a gay friend or family member, two: for librarians who would like to develop collections on this topic, and three: for counselors and therapists who would like to use these books in their practices.
