There are many tools available at the Library and on the web to help you find something new to read, including books about books, book lists, genre guides, and even databases. Here are some resources to get started.

AAR offers unbiased book reviews, author interviews, and industry commentary for romance works. - AllReaders.com
This unique website offers detailed reviews of books in all genres based on plot, setting, character, and writing style. - BookBrowse
An independent, "one-stop resource" for the best in contemporary fiction and non-fiction. - Book MarksBook Marks is a branch of the Lit Hub network, and they provide shorter recaps from multiple sources and voices. Their staff peruses book review sites and shares pull-quotes from them in book lists and more.

A vast online catalogue for fiction lovers. Each author has an individual page so you can see at a glance everything they've written in the order in which it was published, plus any new or forthcoming books. Hooked on a particular series? You'll find all of its titles listed in sequence. - Goodreads
More than just a great way to keep track of your reading, Goodreads is also a social networking site (think "Facebook for books") where you can check out other people's virtual bookshelves, read their reviews or share your own, and connect with authors. - Historical Novel Society

The Millions began as part of the early wave of “book blogs” but soon evolved into a thriving online magazine. They publish reviews, essays, and interviews, as well as a biannual Great Book Previews and annual Year in Reading series. - Stop, You're Killing Me!
If you love mysteries, this mega-site is "to die for." Search books and series by author, title, place, time period, character name, character profession, etc... Perfect for those times you're looking for a mystery featuring a sky-diving detective. - Whichbook
