This page explains how DOAJ conducts quality control for the journals included in the database. DOAJ states that all journals in the database "have been approved as quality, peer reviewed open access journals." but some journals have been given the "DOAJ seal" for outstanding quality. TIP: when you search DOAJ you can narrow a search results list to only include content given the DOAJ seal
