Come to a Program

The library has many free programs for children, families and adults.

Library programs are free.

Attending a program is a great way to practice your English language skills, improve your computer skills, and share reading with your family. They are also a great way to meet new friends!

Our most popular programs for newcomers are English Conversation Groups, Family Story Times, and technology workshops.

There are many ways to register for a library program:

English Conversation Groups

The Library hosts English Conversation Groups.

  • Conversation groups are for adult EAL learners who can speak English in short sentences (CLB  4+).
  • Some conversation groups are at the library, and some are online via Zoom.
  • Groups are limited to about 12 people so that everyone has a chance to speak.
  • You can practice your English speaking and listening skills and meet new friends!

Go to the Programs & Events calendar to see if there is a conversation group near you.

Family Story Times

Family Storytime

Stories, rhymes and activities for children ages 3-5. But fun for the whole family!

You can find a program near you using our online Programs & Events calendar.
