Come to a Program
The library has many free programs for children, families and adults.
Library programs are free.
Attending a program is a great way to practice your English language skills, improve your computer skills, and share reading with your family. They are also a great way to meet new friends!
Our most popular programs for newcomers are English Conversation Groups, Family Story Times, and technology workshops.
There are many ways to register for a library program:
- you can register by going to any library
- you can register by phoning any library
- you can register online using our Programs & Events calendar
- you can even register on our Winnipeg Public Library app
English Conversation Groups
The Library hosts English Conversation Groups.
- Conversation groups are for adult EAL learners who can speak English in short sentences (CLB 4+).
- Some conversation groups are at the library, and some are online via Zoom.
- Groups are limited to about 12 people so that everyone has a chance to speak.
- You can practice your English speaking and listening skills and meet new friends!
