The library has many free programs for children, families and adults.

Library programs are free.

Attending a program is a great way to practice your English language skills, improve your computer skills, and share reading with your family. They are also a great way to meet new friends!

Some of our most popular programs for newcomers are English Conversation Groups, Family Story Times, and technology workshops.

English Conversation Groups

The Library hosts English Conversation Groups.

  • Conversation  groups are for adult EAL learners who can  speak English in short sentences (CLB  4+).

  • Groups are limited to about 10 people so that everyone has a chance to speak.

  • You can practice your English speaking and listening skill and meet new friends!


Practice your English skills and meet new friends in our online class! Classes are small and you will learn while having fun. This session runs for 6 classes (Monday and Wednesday) starting October 19 through to November 4 from 10 - 11 am. For EAL learners who can speak English in short sentences (CLB 4+).

Registration for this program begins Monday, October 5th at 10:00 am.
