Language learning with the Digital Library

hoopla offers television/movie programs for adults and children to learn a new language. Put "language learning" in the search bar and discover hundreds of resources! - OverDrive This link opens in a new window
OverDrive offers eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines. Search "Foreign Language Study" in either eBook nonfiction or audiobook nonfiction for free materials to download to your computer or device.
Finding items in the Library collection
To find language self- instruction books and audio materials in print/CD form (as well as materials streaming on hoopla) using the WPL catalogue:
- type the following phrase inserting your language of choice and choose Library Search and Subject from the drop-down menus: ________ language - self instruction. (Example: Italian language - self-instruction)
To find language learning materials on Overdrive using the WPL catalogue:
- type the following phrase inserting your language of choice and choose Overdrive e-Audio + e-Books and Subject from the drop-down menus: Foreign language study -__________ (Example: Foreign language study - German)
- Search the Library catalogue
Search for books, movies, CDs, magazines articles, eBooks and more. Log in with your library card to place requests on materials and have them sent to your local branch.
