eMagazines are digital magazines that you read on your computer or on a mobile device like an iPad. They display the complete contents of the original print magazines (including illustrations and advertisements) and sometimes offer interactive content.

What devices can I use to read eMagazines?

Full-size tablets like iPads, Windows 8 tablets, and Android tablets are perfect for eMagazines. iPads offer the most interactive content in eMagazines, but the eMagazines look great on any full-size tablet. Smaller tablets (iPad mini, other Windows/Android tablets 8" or smaller) will display the emagazines well but will require some zooming-in and scrolling to read the text.

eMagazine apps are available for smartphones (iPhone, Android) but the small screen size means that you will need to zoom and scroll quite a bit to read the text.

desktop and laptop computers

eMagazines can also be read on any computer (PC/Mac, desktop or laptop). You can read the eMagazines in your Internet browser, or install software to store and read them offline.

You cannot download and transfer eMagazines to an eInk device like the Kobo Touch, Kindle Reader or Sony PRS-T3. These apps are also not compatible with Linux computers, and any computer that does not support HTML5.
