In late July/early August, we will be partially re-opening all library branches, with the exception of the Cornish Library which is closed for ongoing renovations. The libraries will be open for holds pick-up service, telephone reference service, and to return borrowed library materials. The re-opening dates for the additional library facilities and hours of operation will be released in the coming weeks.
Winnipeg Public Library will continue to deliver online programs and services, which include maintaining an extensive online eLibrary of digital media, expanding eBook 24/7 access and maintaining the Ask Us service. We are not accepting donations of books or other materials at this time.

Many of our online services have added free content (i.e. available without having to place a hold or use a credit) that will be available during the closure.

Enhanced ebooks combine professional narration with line-by-line highlighting to support ESL, emerging, and reluctant readers. Quizzes and lesson plans are available for educators, making it easy to integrate into curriculum. It also includes categories, such as AP English, Hi/Lo books, English classics, and Shakespeare.
A collection of videos and chapter books designed for kids in grades 2-6. It includes: eBooks (including many Canadian titles), read-alongs, graphic novels, videos (from National Geographic!), and audiobooks.
