All library branches (excluding Cornish) are open for these services only:

  • Holds pick-up
  • Membership/account help
  • Returns (24/7)

Holds may be placed using the library’s online catalogue or mobile app or by phoning the library.

What are the hours of operation?

Harvey Smith, Munroe, Osborne, St. John’s, and Windsor Park branches:

Monday – CLOSED
Tuesday – 1pm to 8pm
Wednesday – CLOSED
Thursday – 1pm to 8pm
Friday – 10am to 5pm
Saturday – 10am to 5pm
Sunday – CLOSED

Bill and Helen Norrie, Charleswood, Fort Garry, Henderson, Louis Riel, Millennium, Pembina Trail, St. Boniface, St. Vital, St. James-Assiniboia, Sir William Stephenson, Transcona, West Kildonan and Westwood branches:

Monday – 10am to 5pm
Tuesday – 10am to 8pm
Wednesday – CLOSED
Thursday – 10am to 8pm
Friday – 10am to 5pm
Saturday – 10am to 5pm

The Digital Library is open and available 24/7. Through it you can access:

  • downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • streaming movies and music
  • eMagazines and newspapers
  • Research databases

Many of our online services have added free content (i.e. available without having to place a hold or use a credit).
