In response to the confirmed arrival of COVID-19 in Winnipeg, the City instituted changes to programs and services, including closing all public libraries effective Monday, March 16, 2020, until further notice. Libraries have minimal staff and are working remotely to maintain online services.

What can I borrow?
The digital library will remain open and available 24/7 throughout the closure. Through it you can access:

streaming movies and music
eMagazines and newspapers
Many of our online services have added free content (i.e. available without having to place a hold or use a credit) that will be available during the closure.

TeenBookCloud is an online collection for middle and high school teens and adults of all reading levels. It includes enhanced novels, ebooks, graphic novels, videos, and audiobooks. Enhanced ebooks combine professional narration with line-by-line highlighting to support ESL, emerging, and reluctant readers. Quizzes and lesson plans are available for educators, making it easy to integrate into curriculum. It also includes categories, such as AP English, Hi/Lo books, English classics, and Shakespeare.
A collection of videos and chapter books designed for kids in grades 2-6. It includes: eBooks (including many Canadian titles), read-alongs, graphic novels, videos (from National Geographic!), and audiobooks. The books feature adjustable text sizes, full narration, and a read-along function which highlights text as it is read - a great tool for reluctant readers and ESL students.
Reinforces early reading skills and introduces children to a world of knowledge and exploration by pairing classic video storybooks with related nonfiction eBooks to build a love of reading and learning.
