The following are online (or "browser-based") eBooks. Once you've logged in with your library card, you can access the full text of an eBook and read it on a computer screen or mobile device (e.g., iPhone, iPad, Android tablet). However, some devices may require Adobe Flash player to read the book and might not work.

Getting Started with Windows 8 & RT
You can use the OverDrive app or Libby app to borrow and enjoy eBooks and eAudiobooks from your library on your Windows 8 or RT device. Windows 8 comes on tablets and computers, and Windows RT comes on tablets like the Microsoft Surface RT and Surface 2.

Getting started with eReaders
You can borrow eBooks from your library and transfer them to compatible eReaders using free Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) software on your Windows or Mac computer.

Note: A problem with transferring Overdrive eBooks from Adobe Digital Editions to Kobo eReaders has been occurring with increasing frequency. The only Kobo eReader that works reliably with Overdrive content is now the Kobo Aura One, which does not use Adobe Digital Editions.

How to borrow and download eBooks using a Sony Reader Wi-Fi
Follow the steps below to activate your Sony Reader Wi-Fi with an Adobe ID, then download eBooks from your library directly to your Sony Reader.

Note: Sony discontinued their eReader product line in North America. While these eReaders and the Sony Reader desktop software still mostly work, we've noted that some features and functions no longer work or work reliably. We do not recommend acquiring a Sony eReader for use with Library content.

How to use OverDrive Read
OverDrive Read is a simple way to enjoy eBooks. There are no apps to download, no software to install, just click ‘Read’ and start reading. The book opens in the browser, complete with the navigation controls you would find on any dedicated eReader. When you check out a title that is available in Read format, you'll see the Read (In your browser) icon on your account's online Bookshelf.

Libby is Overdrive's new reading-focused app for Library eBooks and eAudiobooks. This is the Windows 10 version.
